Somewhere hidden on a hill in the Flemish Ardennes lies the Glamping of Modest & Kamiel. 2 cheerfull farmers welcome you and introduce you to their farm. Our Glamping is different: it is one where you can harvest your own fruit and vegetables!
The farm has a bio label and works in harmony with nature, so an agro-ecological farm.
The canvas tents of the Glamping are located on a large wooden terrace in an edible garden with vegetables and berries. You wake up completely in private and drink a coffee on your terrace while you hear the chickens cackling, hear the pigs grunt and feel the first rays of the day's sun on your face.
You can harvest daily in the large vegetable garden with a beautiful assortment of fresh, healthy and organic vegetables and berries. Freshly harvested and freshly prepared! This preparation takes place in the open air next to the piggery. With a beautiful view of the hills you can cook in our outdoor kitchen. In the meantime, enjoy the chickens that pass by and the pigs that want to meet you. Don't worry, they keep a safe distance. Staying at Modest & Kamiel's Glamping is a total experience for young and old. Time disappears and you will be amazed by the simplicity of nature. The flowering fruit trees, the pigs bathing in the mud and the fields that color with the blooming flowers provide an unseen experience. Immerse yourself completely in the farm scene and enjoy it to the fullest!
As true Glamour should be, you don't have to bring anything except your clothes and a toothbrush. The 2 double beds in the separate sleeping tents are made upon arrival. A tour of the farm ensures that you do not get lost.
The accommodation includes all use of bed, bath and kitchen linen, fresh vegetables and small fruit, an equipped outdoor kitchen with everything for cooking and eating (pots, pans, cutlery, plates, glasses, etc.). The living tent has a terrace, electricity, a dining area, a sitting area with a small library and a refrigerator with a mini freezer.
There is a comfortable and clean compost toilet, a sink and a shower with hot water and ecological shower gel. The sanitary facilities are next to the pigs' sleeping quarters. So you can hear them grunting while you are under the warm water. Fantastic, isn't it?
There is a cozy farm shop that is open every day for the glampers. Treat yourself to real artisan products:
meat for the bbq, charcuterie, jams, pickled vegetables to pimp your salad, farm-fresh eggs and more.
In the summer months there are thousands of flowers in bloom on our field. During the self-picking moments you can also harvest flowers and make a beautiful bouquet.
The Glamping is for a maximum of 4 people and is always rented in its entirety. We prefer to keep it quiet and modest, so we ask that you do not ask for extra guests during your stay.
Four-legged friends are wonderful, but unfortunately we cannot allow them on the Glamping and on the farm.
